Ornamental plants are plants that are grown for decorative purposes in gardens and landscape design projects, as houseplants, for cut flowers and specimen display. The cultivation of these, called floriculture, forms a major branch of horticulture.
Alright first thing first,
1. Suit your space
Before you go to plant shop, make sure you check your space first and where exactly you want to put your plant. Usually, plants tag will show description showing you what kind lighting they need, and others, so you must sure you matching it the way you going to put them in your place.
2. Water needs.
Make sure you know your water needs of your plants as well. Some plant need more water than other. For example, Evergreens need water, even in early and late winter. The water will help hydrate the plant and increase survivability through winter.
3. Good drainage.
Make sure the pot that you choose have good drainage because the plant living in the pot his whole life. So, its not going to get root rot. Sometimes if the plants grow big too large, it best to take out of the pot and plant it in something bigger.
4. Quit rearranging
Quit rearranging the plant all the time. They will get to use in one space with sentimental of light. If you going to move it around all the time, sometimes they won't do to well.
5. Prune.
Prunning plants, just if your plants doesn't using extra energy on trying to recover the dead pieces, make sure you just grab garden scissors and just chop off all those dead leaves.
6. Fertilise.
So, this is usually good to do in a spring or summer month. Just take a little of fertilizer, you can get a liquid fertilizer or pebble one. You just put under the top layer of the soil and you bother them in.

7. Avoid spots.
Avoid bad spots in where you put your plants. For example, make sure you not put in your plants near the air conditioners, or too close to any extreme sources of heat.
8. Inspect plants.
Inspesting plants before you buy them. Check the root, soil and the leaf, and just make sure the plants is in a good condition.
